What is License Plate Game Plus?
The license plate game:
The game originally tracked the number of plates that you saw. It didn't take into consideration the difficulty in seeing a particular plate.
This game takes into account where you currently are to determine if you should get 1, 2 or 3 points. How does it know where you are? Well - in order to allow this app to work without Location Services and without an Internet connection, you select where you are and then which plate you saw. If you are in the same state of the plate you see - you get 1 point. If you are in a state that is 'touching' the state of the plate, you get 2 points. Any state further away and you get 3 points. With these rules - do you want to 'claim' the plate as soon as you see it - if its only going to give you 1 point? Or do you want to wait? There is some added strategic thinking to this game :-)
We decided to remove the Location Services and internet connection requirements so that people would be more comfortable loading it on devices for kids. Once the app is loaded - there are no external dependencies.
The game does track the number of plates that you've seen, in addition to tracking your points. It allows for the app to be shutdown, without losing your progress.
