Unsubscribing from POI Nearby is easy. Follow these steps based on your device:
Canceling POI Nearby Subscription on iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top to access your Apple ID.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Here, you'll see all your active subscriptions. Find POI Nearby and tap on it.
- Press Cancel Subscription.

- Select POI Nearby and tap Cancel Subscription.

Most GPS navigation systems include a point-of-interest feature, whereby users can look up the location of local amenities, such as shops, petrol stations and the like. POI Nearby adds this capability to the iPhone.
There are no POIs included with the application; users can add their own lists of POIs via iTunes. POI Nearby supports the standard CSV data format, as used on Garmin GPS systems - there are numerous websites from which lists of POIs can be freely downloaded in this format.
POI Nearby will show you the POIs nearest to your current location - a simple browser interface allows you to select POI categories, to filter on distance and to look for specific text within a POI description. The relevant POIs are then clearly displayed on a map of the local area.
