What is Return of the C'waam?
Return of the C'waam is a gentle, no-fail water game for young children. The c'waam — the Lost River sucker — is one of the first foods of the Klamath Tribes, and this is its journey home.
TWO HALVES THAT ANSWER EACH OTHER
• Tend — heal your stretch of the basin: cool the water, open the channels, bring back the shade and the reeds.
• Return — swim home as the c'waam through the water you tended. The healthier the basin, the clearer and more alive the swim.
LEARN BY PLAYING, NEVER BY QUIZ
Discover the real ecology of the lake — the food web, the cold springs, the marsh — through play. A For-Grown-Ups page shows parents what their child is learning.
