Answering the same questions over and over to earn money gets old after you get to the 12 floor. It’s like actual work, not fun! Successfully processing forms should provide more money so you can pay bills and advance the story without reading the same lines over and over and over again...
★★☆☆☆Excellent til BRICK WALL of clone game
So well done, so thoughtful, funny, well-written. EXCEPT when you get to the mini-game on Floor 25 that you *must* play to make money. The game just lurches to a halt as you scroll up and down trying to match things, not too much, not too little, but enough to not have to endure this exercise FOREVER. Ho-lee cow, what a literal kill joy. I do not think I will be playing any more.
★★☆☆☆Eh
The original was SO GOOD. This one bored me pretty quickly. I think they tried to make up for the boredom by adding in traveling and extra scenes, but these just increased it for me.
I’m all for you coming up with another one that’s more similar to the original. Maybe try to make it more present day or something.
★★☆☆☆Whoa! Wildly disappointed.
Nothing like the first game, or blissful sleep. Gameplay completely different, it’s not so much about the choices you make and just doing the tasks. I loved the first game so much, and I’ve been waiting for 2-3 years to get this game and when I finally did… I haven’t even made it to the second floor and I dk if I will I’m so bored of this game already. Just a major downgrade from the original. If I could get a refund I prob would. Since I can’t I’ll just give it a break for a few years and see i
★★★☆☆Aimless
Dystopias are supposed to have a point. This is just about making friends and killing them off for career advancement. You’re going to get arrested before anything meaningful happens. Don’t bother. At least with Beholder 1 there was a goal, even if you couldn’t actually get to it: leave the country with your family. Here, its just endless bizarre bureaucracy and increasingly distasteful death sequences. Ugh.
