User Reviews and Ratings

★★★★★ Exactly What I Was Looking For
I use this app to pop up chord symbols to which I enter the corresponding notes in order to develop fluency in recognizing chord symbols. I made a couple of suggestions to the developer for improvements. These were not trivial suggestions. I'm sure they involved significant work to implement. I'm very pleased to say the developer very quickly and effectively implemented my suggestions making the app ideal for my purposes.
★★★★★ Doesn’t support MIDI input
I bought this hoping to practice on an actual keyboard and this feature isn’t supported. Still 5 stars since it doesn’t pretend to do this, but do not buy if that is what you are looking for.
★★★☆☆ Some flaws
1. No instructions or tour of the app. 2. When you’ve correctly identified a chord, you don’t receive verification until you’ve moved on to the next one. So you’re looking at a smiley face (or frown) on a chord that you have not yet spelled and can’t go back to see what you got wrong or right. 3. Almost impossible to enter notes accurately on the miniature piano keyboard — correcting mistakes makes for rather slow going.
