★★★★★ Best way to learn to use fm
This is the synth Yamaha should have released first! An awesome fm synth interface! Wow ! I love how it shows you what the operators are doing and how fast or slow they are moving and how the envelopes affect the modulation! Awesome interface ! Bravo! Peace christo
★★★★★ Love it! How about Audiobus Effects support?
DX7 owner & guitar player here; I love this app! First: I appreciate not having to get out of my chair to play the DX7. Second: I think I could learn more about FM synthesis from this app than I ever could from standing at the DX7. Lastly, I wonder if you'd consider adding Audiobus Effects support? I'd love to play my guitar through my DXi … thanks again.
★★★★★ Hands down the easiest FM synth on iOS
I'm really glad the developer keeps providing support to this little jewel of a synth. Comparing this app with it's closer adversaries (FM4, TX7, iYM2151) DXi still wins. I'll tell you why:
DXi has the easiest way to fiddle with FM parameters via the ADSR screen. Also, DXi has a recorder, MIDI capable, ACP and Audiobus ready, making it easy to integrate to your sonic arsenal.

While the FM4 has the advantage of LFOs, different sound engines, more flexible settings, and an arpeggiator, it suffers from being abandoned. DXi has the advantage of being more up-to-date, being universal, it sounds just as good, option to turn off anti-aliasing, a true sequencer, better MIDI (I assume), full control of
★★★★☆ Not a DX7, but close enough.

This app is really good for anyone wanting to add basic FM sounds to their mix. It has a few DX algorithms that allow you to tweak and alter the preset sounds to get some really strange effects. And it's got those thumping DX synth basses for hip-hop and EDM. The sound isn't as smooth and polished as you would get from a real DX, never mind Native Instruments FM8 or the Synclavier V. It reminds me more of the CZ1 from Casio or the Volca FM from Korg. Still, other than Casio's iCZ, this is the b
