Twice in two weeks the date did not update on a new day. Feeling a little ripped off

I don’t need the complication to show the year. I don’t need to know what year it is. Or the month, I know what month it is. I just want the first three or four letters of the weekday and the day of the month. TUES 23 Instead of DATE 4/23/19 It’s just more than I need. But then it also doesn’t say the day of the week...
