I think it would be helpful to let the trees etc. grow back after some time has passed in our strongholds. Or the option of collecting tree seeds to plant in strongholds.

Fun! But expensive. It’s difficult to get enough resources to just survive. Ranking up takes hours upon hours of resource gathering. Your resources don’t improve unless you venture into locations that you don’t have the equipment for. So you buy a chest or two just to play some of the actual quests.
