This app has been life changing for my elderly grandmother that suffers from hearing loss. The simplicity and accuracy of the app allows her to easily communicate with others in any scenario - informal conversation, hospital, restaurants, etc.

My husband refuses to get hearing aids. Our communication with each other was frustrating. Writing down everything I wanted to communicate to him was aggravating not to mention time consuming. Hearing Helper has made a big difference. I can easily talk into my speaker and it prints out my words on my phone which I then hand to my husband. Because I have the font larger, he easily can read it. It’s been a lifesaver. Wish I had found this app sooner.
★★☆☆☆Useful, but flawed
It is very useful, but it drops the first word, or two or three. You have to say the first word then pause, then speak slowly and distinctly. Sometimes it is such a mess it is easier to just start over. Having said all that it sure is easier than carrying a big white board.

This app can hear when whispering from at least a foot away. I will try for longer distances next!
Some updates that would be great...
1. Changing the mic button to "start" and "stop" functions. It would be great to not have to hold down the button in order to transcribe.
My thumb gets tired easily (I find play games enough lol).
2. If possible having a way to do languages in the future!
