It does not simply illustrate it. The artists and producers make the story even more frightening than the original not by making it more graphic but more relatable and real. I have seen several large and small screen adaptations of this particular story and I plan to see the one coming soon with Nicolas Cage but this has an intimacy and immediacy that stands on its own and draws
★★★★★ Absolutely DelightfulI first read The Colour Out of Space some 35 years ago, and have revisited it many times. Somehow, this app made it all feel new again. The animations of the text, the grotesque illustrations reminiscent (but not derivative) of Gahan Wilson, the pitch-perfect OST that builds from wonder to terrifying revelation... incredible. I hope there are many more “episodes” to come; I would LOVE to see what this team does with The Call of Cthulhu and Rats in the Walls, to say nothing of The Mountains of Ma
