This was an instant download as I’m a huge Nimblebit fan, but these overwhelming UI cash grabs are not something I’d expect from them. Very disappointed as it’s a beautiful game.

I love nimblebit games and was excited to try this new(ish?) game. However there are many confusing things about it, promises of more features that are not available (what the heck do we do at the parts station?) I’m loving the graphics and the gameplay but it’s frustrating that some features are simply not useable.

I grew up on Nimblebit games and mobile games in general. I know the microtransaction hustle. But man, just seeing how much of this game feels like it wants you to put down real money or watch ads kinda bums me out. Dipping my toes back into Pocket Trains and Pocket Planes makes Pocket Trucks just seem like it’s trying to get you to pay up and some of the things you need to pay for are egregious. Why do I need to pay for VIP to fully upgrade my trucks??

I loved the game right away. It took me Maybe three days to get my level to 50. However, once at level 50 keys are no longer part of the rewards. So from all appearances, I cannot unlock more cities for the time being-I’m not paying real money. I found it nice that it’s easy enough to build up the bux. So maybe a bux to key conversion would be nice? It’s a solid game otherwise.
