Recursion

I love Glitch games, I love the stories, the care and humor in the writing, the puzzles. I have bought every single one they charged for. This is the first game of theirs that has ever felt tedious at some point. The triangle, circle, square boxes, and the timing felt, for me, like jumping through hoops. I love challenging puzzles but this part was finicky and annoying. I haven’t finished the game yet because of it and possibly I’ve stopped caring? Glitch is one of the best creators of adventure

I just don’t want to do the same puzzles over and over again to get back to where I was each time I tap something that ends the game. Some might like that. I prefer to just be able to explore without worrying about having to redo everything.

I have followed Glitch games for years and get so excited when new games come out. This one is a “miss” for me, though. I hate having to do the same tasks over and over. I don’t think I have it in me to finish this one.

I love Glitch games, just not this one. I gave up on the first chapter when I realized it was more of a platformer type game where you “die” and repeat the same steps over and over. I seek out point and click adventure games for this very reason…I hate repetitive arcade games.

Glitch is the master of these kind of games but they missed on this one. The puzzles are great but having to start over each time becomes really irritating. I tried playing a second time with UNLIMITED time on the clock but even with that the game is designed where you have to purposely go back to the beginning to finish the puzzles. In my opinion, that is just not a good idea. I’m looking forward to their next release I hope they go back to the Forever Lost design. That series is legendary.
