Iceworks has made some nice iOS apps, starting with the excellent Cassini, and offer this very affordable polyphonic synth for a few bucks, occupying only a few MB of storage space. The patch selections and sounds, however, are a little limited, and I'm not a fan of the separate offerings for iPhone and iPad (the later of which has not arrived at the time of this review). You can certainly use the iPhone version on iPad, but a universal app is pretty standard practice nowadays. Still worth a

I’m just diving into this, but it’s a winner — it has its own character, distinct from either analog or FM synths. The resonator is unusual and I’m still trying to wrap my head around what it does. So many interesting bits like the pitched, digital and glitch noise styles; the deep filtering options in the delay; and the most customizable arpeggiator I’ve ever used. This is a steal at $8.
