RV Tow Check

We’re buying a 5th wheel and a truck to haul it and it has been very confusing trying to figure out if certain trucks can haul all the weight. This app gives you very specific directions and as long as you have the numbers it asks for, it gives you an answer. I used the Ford towing guide (online all the way back to 2003) and the sticker on the inside of the door to get all the numbers I need. Thanks for giving me the confidence to know the truck I found can pull the 5th wheel I want.

If you understand vehicle weights this can save you some time. Tongue weight as a percentage of total weight needs to fall in the correct range. To me the cautions at the low tongue weight are easily misunderstood. The red doesn’t mean they aren’t safe...it means your trailer may or may not be able to achieve a low tongue weight. Some can some can’t. The yellow means it is more likely you can reach that tongue percent but again, not all trailers can. The green just means it should be possib

The app was referenced in an article about weighing at a CAT scale. The app doesn’t use hardly any of the numbers achieved during initial and recent-weighs. It really didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know from my TV owners manual about maximum trailer weights.

Solid base. If it showed the calculated amounts, differences, it would help in purchasing new equipment. I’d like to be able to enter my truck info and see my max safe travel trailer amounts.
