I spent $130 on icom’s remote software for my 9700, only to find out I need to be able to port forward from my remote location. That’s simply impossible from a hotel. I bought this app and had it running in minutes! Simply set your home router to port forward and set static IP address for the radio and you’re golden. I might have to buy a 705 now to add to my remote capability.

I’ve been a ham for many years but recently back to the hobby. I picked up an IC-705 for portable operation and this app. Wow. Extremely well done interface, very complete control, great set of tools, FT8/4 support. Yeah, it’s expensive but this was clearly a lot of work. I’m still digging into the capabilities and features of this app, and the manual for it is also extremely well written and helpful.
