This is hands down the
absolute best chess app ever. I tried every one over the years and this is the best there is. It will give you chess problems to solve and let you stop in the middle and play that position from either side. I cannot say enough about the thought that went into this app. Very versatile and fast. Thanks for making it so intersectional. I love the problems and use them every day to stay sharp. ★★★★★Still rocks after 2 years of no updates
I believe this is my best purchase on a chess app on IOS. I spent $7.99 in Feb of 2013 for this and after 10 years and many IOS version updates Shredder chess still is my go-to chess app for puzzles, playing, and learning. 1000 puzzles is a lot, and the best thing is I can continue playing against the engine at the position where the puzzle is solved for endgame practice.
★★★★★Can we have the collection of the chess champions games
Can we have in a future update all the games from the chess champions from Murphy to Magnus
★★★☆☆It works, but get the lite version
The title says it all- this works well enough; but it’s slow and the puzzle solutions are full of problems. This app was highly recommended to me by two good players, so it’s disappointing to find several mistakes in their puzzle solutions within the first day using the app. I do like the customization of the board and pieces available and the fact that I can review and analyze other games, etc.; but the interface could be improved quite a bit. Overall, it’s decent for an easy way to ply against
★★★★☆PGN would be nice
Great app.
It would be helpful for reviewing games to be able to copy/paste PGN or even FEN data.
Another wish is for more than one best-moves line, though I’m not sure where it could be fit on the screen.
