Great lore with deep mechanics/system. Sometimes I don’t know what I am doing but enjoy the consequences. Have both King of the Dragon Pass and this game and spent hours and hours of fun. Will buy the sequel on day one if they ever release one.

This game is unlike any other. Strategy and RPG in one - and a story to boot. Its also very replayable. Ive led (and destroyed…) dozens of civilizations. I also love that wifi and a network are not required to play - so it works during flights and on subways, etc. I only wish the sequel was coming!

I found the lore way too confusing and long, it has a huge threshold to fully involve into the story. The game mechanics are unclear and very complex, not always clear on what to do to overcome a crisis. The randomized nature of the events and outcomes doesn’t make it clearer either. Despite their statement that there are many ways of playing the game, I found none (in this or previous game) where you could become an evil guy, siding with Chaos to twist your people, turn them to monsters to dest
