SJ - Trains in Sweden

It’s just a blown up version of the iPhone app and doesn’t even rotate so I can’t use it when my iPad is horizontal. Which is all the time I use my iPad. Thanks but no thanks. Prisbelönad you say?

SJ have done a great job with this app. Booking and paying are a breeze. Travel mode is also very well done - it tells you how much time is left before having to board or get off. I love Swedish trains and this app just makes the whole experience that much better.

I downloaded this app in the hope of being able to handle my ticket purchase, and downloading a copy of my ticket. Unfortunately this SJ train app does not accept American Visa or MasterCard. I was eventually able to buy the ticket by using the Capital One extension ENO on my laptop browser. It is a secure virtual credit card extension from Capital One bank . Once I purchase a ticket I tried downloading it on this app. Ticket not found. I tried joining the SJ Pro version of the app. You need

At first like some others in US I thought I did need a personal ID number from Sweden. However, I reached out in the app chat and she was able to set me up with an account and emailed me a link to finish account creation. If you make your first booking on the website and click the button to remember or save the card you are using, you can also make purchases in the app as an American. It took a few tried to learn the app but once that was done it has been super! So easy to plan or change a trip.
