User Reviews and Ratings
★★★★★ It CAN be simple!
Wow - I thought it would be complicated to receive and decode SSTV images from the ISS. But this app allows you to simply hold your handheld radio near your smartphone … NO special drivers, NO cables.
★★☆☆☆ Crashes immediately on launch/Used to work
App doesn’t even work on modern iOS anymore, and just immediately crashes on launch. Every once in a blue moon, it’ll work for a few mins, but then it’ll be back to square one.
When it did work, it had so many quality of life problems though.
★★★☆☆ Needs some minor updates
The app works as advertised (mostly), and I enjoy using it to decode SSTV transmissions from the International Space Station. Curious that it hasn’t been updated in a long time. My biggest gripe is that every now and then the app crashes almost immediately after trying to open it. The fix is to delete the app from my iPhone, then download from the App Store and reinstall.
★★★★☆ pretty good, not perfect
it works pretty well for general SSTV use, but it is a bit sensitive when receiving (random noises can trigger it), and you can’t transmit in all formats (although you can transmit in most of the commonly used ones)
★★★☆☆ Very convenient.
