I love the concept, but for some reason it does a poor job of recognizing the notes, oftentimes I have to press the same note (Yamaha digital piano) several times before the correct reading registers, which can be frustrating. Would be a great tool if it worked as intended though.

This is very boring and takes forever.

UPDATE: it DOES work with bass! Select “bass guitar” in settings! Thanks! Old review: It gets the octave wrong on my double bass, pizzicato. Doesn’t pick up the notes with a bow. Most tuners get it right, so not sure why this is an issue. It would be nice to have an “octave forgiveness” option so that it accounts for software’s misinterpretation of the octave I’m playing

This is a very good app. It is fun, but educational. It has helped me keep my notes memorized and has helped me learn new notes as well. It is MUCH better compared to the regular Staff Wars. It tells you what note your playing when you play it, and you can customize it to your instrument and range of notes. I highly recommend it if you’re having trouble keeping your notes memorized or want to learn new ones.

Helped with sight reading a lot
