The General is a board and strategy game application developed by Sean O'Connor and available for download on the iOS App Store and Android Play Store. The app is compatible with iOS 10.0+ and Android 4.4+. It requires 26MB of free space for IPA (iOS) or APK (Android) installation.
In this version of the classic board game you lead your troops into battle against the computer opponent in a race to capture your enemy's flag before he gets yours. Initially you can't see how the enemy has positioned his troops and he can't see yours which gives ample opportunity for bluffing and deception from both sides.
"4 out of 5. We recommend the program to board game lovers." - Download.com
"It's like chess spliced with Minesweeper and Guess Who. Bearing in mind how important subterfuge and bluffing are in the original game, the silicon opponents provided are remarkably sharp." - EuroGamer.com

Great game with sophisticated AI. If you like Stratego and don't need multiplayer functionality, you'll love this. Don't believe the haters.
Great game needs to have a win and lost total added and maybe little more animation
It is a blast to play. Love it. But, Sometimes it slows down impossibly slow. Win loss total would be great.
I love this game but at times it is extremely slow. It takes computer 4-5 seconds to move. In a game that takes possibly hundreds of moves it's hard to concentrate when it moves slow and choppy. I finally figured out that the game is slow before the next iOS update. Once the phone is updated the game works perfectly for a few weeks then it starts to slow down and eventually you can’t play it and have to wait for the next iOS update. But otherwise an awesome game!
Just like my favorite childhood (and young-adult) board game!
