I have only played around a little bit but I can see tons of potential here! Using a smartphone to set timing or shoot based on detections (faces, motion, sound, etc.) can be very handy.
Of course you do need a special cable for your exact camera (that should be fairly obvious), but they're not terribly expensive.
My only issue so far is my iPhone case which is a tight fit for the TriggerTrap. Headphones, etc. all fit just fine but the TT has to be in just right or it won't work.

I’m able to open it on my iPhone X with no problem. I’ll have to run it through the different modes for a better eval, but thanks for making the effort to keep this app working. I still have the dongle so it will be nice to use again.

Just use the lightning to headphone adapter. The triggertrap with the attached cable plugs into it.
I had it backwards using the small cable extension to headphone cable.
I just wish this app was updated so we can use the iPhone camera so we can use external flash. I’d love to set the iso, shutter, aperture on the iPhone app and connect it with an external flash. Maybe use the slow motion video to determine the sync delay so when the app fires, it captures the flash!
