I finally found what I have been looking for, that is. (Isn’t that a U2 song? But I digress.) I’ve seriously been searching for an iOS app that would allow me to take an existing square or portrait video and format it for landscape (16:9) with a blurred background.

Okay, the app has a dated interface: it looks like it was created for iOS 6 and never updated. But I can overlook that if it does what I need quickly and in a straightforward manner. This app scores on both counts — an

everyone hates instagram cropping and i’m going to actually lose it over the IGTV cropping- but ngl this kinda saved the day, you can basically alter anything you want, background color, exact proportions, proportions automatically calculated with a size ratio input, if you want to the background to blur or not, how much u want it to blur- basically it just slaps, thanks my dude for making this :P
