Easier and better way to book permits than through the web.

The permit booking system for Yosemite and Inyo is quite good but clunky compared to talking directly to a ranger who knows the area and can give better guidance. The mapping for campgrounds is awful. Previous versions seemed more accurate and you could visualize the site you were booking. Now it’s hard to even work out which side of the road a site might be.

This app has GREATLY improved! I can now search by map, see the available dates on a calendar, see reviews and pictures all without having to go back to the main page and type it all in again.

I was having issues with the Recreation.org website today and downloaded their app with low hopes. However, I was greeted by a better functioning app and more campsite availability for the location/weekend I was look at. Yay!

I love how quickly and easily I can search, explore and reserve a camping spot anywhere in the country!

We love staying at Hickory Creek Park. The host are great people. They are very helpful with information and checked on us regularly. They also kept everything nice and clean. We love the park.

Not as smooth as some top apps, but it’s surprisingly good. I wish it was a little more clear in general when you have to pay for what with different parks and park services since it feels like there’s so many different types of parks or permits but overall, I think the app is a very good job.

If you are looking for camping and don’t know how to find available spots this is the place for you! Easy to navigate and to proceed with the reservation!

We have been camping at Smokemont for 21 years . What a treasure ! The location , the people that run and maintain the campground are first class ! And don’t forget the campers that show up …. Quiet couples, families big and small all enjoying the peace and beauty of Smokemont . It’s a great place to kick back and enjoy life . Thank you COE!

This app is super easy to use and to find campgrounds. The calendar feature makes it easy to find spots for the dates you need, and to book online if you are ready. Prefer the app over the website, but have used the website on occasion.

At a National Monument this worked great, Apple Pay worked and there were no hidden service fees. My first use felt hopeful. Sadly, my next attempt at a BLM site it added a fee (sprung on me at the last step) and didn’t offer Apple Pay. To make matters worse, the CC input interface was non standard and poorly programmed. Also, it required me to return to the kiosk just to scan a QR code instead of working from the campsite. This app is a nice start, but has room for improvement.

Easy to use and great information on all the sights available.

Just like that, I’m booked for a weekend trip in two weeks. Easy filtering. Good information. Yay for this app.

Easy to navigate and reserve camping spaces.

The site is good for reserving but for example you cannot call jackrabbit Campground and talk to a human to find out if a site can accommodate two tents or just one or just a camper or whatever it might be. There is no human that you can reach at the campground. You just get some call centre and they don’t know anything except the little bitty square picture there. Kind of frustrating when you were trying to figure out if you can put two tents on the site or just one how steep is it etc.

I’ve only used this once so far. My main concern is that it doesn’t take my trailer length into consideration when it searches for available campsites. It keeps showing me campgrounds that are unable to accommodate my trailer. As a result, I wind up checking numerous sites before I discover that the campground is unable to accommodate my trailer. Other than that issue, I really like this app!👍😁

This app makes getting a reservation so easy, you can do it on the road going to any campground!!! The campgrounds here are in terrible shape not been mowed or weed eated in a while. Had to bring our mower out.

This is a wonderful website to book camping sites and national parks. It’s very helpful.

There needs to be a way to save filters across sites. I’m only interested in sites that will allow my 17 foot trailer, but I have to keep inputting my filters, which is frustrating.
