No,but it's possible to get free gems from tapjoy or watching ads(max 10 gems per day,1 each)
It's possible to buy 1 weapon with 500 gems for free,i played the whole game again,and i bought composite sword,for free,since i want to get all the boss's weapons at max level and enchants and my,the lifesteal on widow's fans are absolutely nuts!
