User Reviews and Ratings
★★★☆☆Unnecessarily Complicated
It took me literally an hour to figure out how to “start charging in minutes” which was so frustrating. And because of that I didn’t have enough time left to finish charging.
★★☆☆☆Setup Frustrating
Account creation process leaves a lot to be desired.
★★★☆☆Functional but less polished than the competition
This app did work for me, but it was a slog to use. Why is the map view so slow and stuttery, for example, and why does it need to redraw the annotations every time you move even a tiny bit? I’ve written iOS apps using the map API before and I know it’s not hard to do it better than this app.
★★☆☆☆Worst Chargers so far
My success rate with blink is about 20% making easily the worst charging experience this far. When the screen even works, the QR codes on the terminal link to a dead site. The app says connected but won’t start a charge. Sometimes it starts working later other times I have to give up. You’ll get non-charging fee notices several hours after you’ve disconnected. On top of this, you need to preload money. And blink chargers are so rare, that money just sits for weeks.
★★★☆☆Occupancy fees when car is nowhere near the station?!
Used this charge station yesterday and obviously left after ~1hr
now over 24 hrs later I’m getting this message indicating I’m about to be charged when I’m not anywhere near this charge station!
“ Your charge session is complete, but your EV is still plugged in and charger occupancy fees will now begin. Please unplug and move your EV so that other EV drivers may use the station.”
