Even though I am no exceptional chess player. I like this game for it's graphics and features. I am sure there are more complex chess engines out there but I like this and it works well with my limited skill set.

The app window on my Macbook is smaller than it appears in the thumbnail of the iMac screen, otherwise I'd give the game 5 stars. The developer has this on his "to do" list, time allowing.

Great app with lots of learning modes. I like that it has an iphone and ipad version too. I purchased it because it is the only one with a Mac app, but the Mac app really needs a full screen mode. Then it would be 5-stars.
★★★☆☆Why is game window so dark and small?
I really want to like this game and give it a higher rating, but the game's positive aspects are plagued by two annoying issues with the game window: 1) On my Macbook Pro with latest OS-X, the window is dark. Even with the theme turned to the highest setting and my screen at brightest, it looks like I'm playing by candlelight. 2) The window is relatively small and cannot be resized--nothing like the App store image of the game on a iMac monitor. What the heck, people?
