Teaching function is very good.

BUY THIS GAME! This game is extremely well-crafted with a mind-boggling number of options for the appearance of the pieces, the board, and the complexity (levels) of play, including a training mode. The game play is excellent. The latest update allows resizing the board for larger screens (Macbooks, etc.). Best of all, perhaps, is that this is a developer who actually listens and responds to user input, which is much appreciated!

This app is great for learning to play chess. So many different levels, and so many different ways to learn.

I personally love this game there is a training mode and you get to play on any level you want! If I where you I would buy this game it could really improve your playing.

Helping me learn stategy by starting at my level and increasing in difficulty

I appreciate the thought and design incorporated and the ability to have this gamne teach a strategy. I enjoy playing it and that is the ultimate goal of a good game

would have given 5 stars but the learning mode doesnt actually teach you anything it just suggest moves to make and for somebody who last played in 5th grade (14 years) that was the hugest selling point and it kinda let me down but its a cool game though for sure just wish the training mode actually "trained"

i have four different chess boards i enjoy, but Mastersoft Pro is without doubt my favorite!!!

i'm not much of a chess player. level one is easy to beat but level 2 i can't win so a little more nuance on the levels would b welcome

Even though I am no exceptional chess player. I like this game for it's graphics and features. I am sure there are more complex chess engines out there but I like this and it works well with my limited skill set.

I am a novice/ beginner but I am blown away by the ability to download all of the past and present grandmasters games back to the early 1800’s It is possible to control in real time the moves. Too many additional features to discuss

Great app with lots of learning modes. I like that it has an iphone and ipad version too. I purchased it because it is the only one with a Mac app, but the Mac app really needs a full screen mode. Then it would be 5-stars.

I really want to like this game and give it a higher rating, but the game's positive aspects are plagued by two annoying issues with the game window: 1) On my Macbook Pro with latest OS-X, the window is dark. Even with the theme turned to the highest setting and my screen at brightest, it looks like I'm playing by candlelight. 2) The window is relatively small and cannot be resized--nothing like the App store image of the game on a iMac monitor. What the heck, people?

I enjoy this chess app. Lots of theme options, many modes to mix things up and the dynamic difficulty is a nice feature. I wish puzzle mode had a button for Next Puzzle. Perhaps the “forward move” arrow could become next puzzle while in puzzle mode. I also would like random color as an option. I have the Pro version and another popular chess app and use them both, depending on my mood.

the only thiing i dislike is the inability to make the board larger. it will not expand and is too small

It would be great in the training mode if there was a voice explaining why it wants me to make one move or another.

I am using my mac computer right now and I really need for this game to be FULL SCREEN but there is no way cuz of fade button that was for full screen which is green button on upper left. Please fix so I can use it for full screen... rght now it is just small/med size, not full at all! I do love this chess very much and so glad to have it back!

I have played this game on my iPhone for a while. I do like it very much. For MacOS I recommend to fix the font for "TAKE BACK", "FLIP", etc... it does not aligned will on the screen. Keep the great work up!

I think the title speaks for itself. I use this app for everything.
