I've been using ComicShare to stream CBR/CBZ comics from a local NAS for a few years now. It works wonderfully and renders the comics quickly. Reading comics on an iPad with this app is a joy. There are tons of settings to tweak the experience and the coder is very responsive to questions. The app is updated often. This app should be on the top of the lists for comic streamers.

So many features, and very customizable for whatever books you are reading. Something that would be nice to have is Apple Pencil support on iPad, or at least a highlighter feature. I like to highlight things for future reference or for the purpose of looking up things later.
