★★★☆☆ It’s ok
I’ve been using this journal for a couple of years and overall it’s ok. It gets the job done. But as I evaluate the cost per year, I’m taking a second look at other options. There are 3 features that I would love to see: highlights in other colors and not that dreadful gold, text in different colors and the ability to archive of journals. As I’m searching for other journals I found this one to be a bit outdated compared to newer options. Unless they add new valuable features that I need , I p
★★★★★ I love it
It makes journaling easy. Categorizes everything so you can recall memories quickly and efficiently. Love the talk to text feature. Love the mapping and attaching photos/vids. Just a blessing for the generations to come.
★★★★★ SO worth it!!
100% recommend Day One! This app is what finally got me into consistently journaling, I can now officially say after a 513 day streak now 🔥 The UI is so nice, the customization, ability to create your own templates, and calendar view with a picture a day is soo satisfying to see. The customer service is also amazing. I definitely recommend the premium version, so you can use on numerous devices and add multiple photos per entry. I never review apps, but had to review this one. Definitely downlo
★★★★★ Incredible app! 5 stars!
I am now hooked. I journal daily because it’s so easy. I even have multiple journals for different purposes with self-curated templates. At the end of the year, I get a printed book and now have a fun collection of entries with photos for each year to look back on.
★★★☆☆ iOS is great, Android not so much
If cross-platform matters to you, DailyBean, Journey, or Daylio all work smoothly on both iOS and Android. Day One's iPhone app is honestly one of the best-looking journal apps out there. But the Android version feels like a different app — missing features, occasional crashes. My partner uses Android and we wanted the same experience. For $50/year, I expected platform parity. Still the best longform journal on iOS though.
