★★★☆☆Too much marketing not enough convenience
The physical product is great, but this is a review for the app.
App was recently redesigned. It now contains marketing and a lot of extra “content”. Luckily it is not in the way.
I would love to see more quality of life features. For example, I use the iPhone standby mode at my desk. I can think of 3 ways to make this experience better. Have a widget that shows the current temp, support live notifications for when you are waiting for your drink to reach set temp, or simply support landscape i
★★☆☆☆Is it really worth it?
I got it as a present an for the most part it works fine. After a while trying to turn on the mug is nearly impossible and the battery life of the mug is a joke. I noticed in the app it tells me I am do an app upgrade and when I try to click on the button it does nothing. You will think I can go to the app support for help but the link that they give does not work either so here we are with the review. I know it was a present, but seeing my coworkers with cheaper brands getting better results an

Your app doesn’t work half the time
★★★☆☆Easy app, but why do I need an app for the ember mug?
I like this app. It’s easy to use and navigate. However, I don’t really see the utility in having to require me to use the app. I get that it’s a smart mug, but the only thing it offers is temperature control, change the LED color, and see battery life. I don’t always have to use the app, but I wish there was more functionality on the ember mug itself. I also wish there was an Apple watch app to control the temperature of the mug. That would be nice.
