Ember - Temperature Matters App Reviews

The physical product is great, but this is a review for the app. App was recently redesigned. It now contains marketing and a lot of extra “content”. Luckily it is not in the way. I would love to see more quality of life features. For example, I use the iPhone standby mode at my desk. I can think of 3 ways to make this experience better. Have a widget that shows the current temp, support live notifications for when you are waiting for your drink to reach set temp, or simply support landscape i

I use this for my Ember 2 mug. It connected easily, and worked right away. No issues.

Your app doesn’t work half the time

I like this app. It’s easy to use and navigate. However, I don’t really see the utility in having to require me to use the app. I get that it’s a smart mug, but the only thing it offers is temperature control, change the LED color, and see battery life. I don’t always have to use the app, but I wish there was more functionality on the ember mug itself. I also wish there was an Apple watch app to control the temperature of the mug. That would be nice.

Of all the accruement I have when it pertains to coffee I have never had a coffee warmer or heated mug. This is a day-to-day piece of equipment I use and I’m thankful for it. Keep up the great work and innovation!

I am forever annoyed now at regular mugs for not keeping my coffee at MY perfect temperature for longer than 10 minutes, and for not giving me any warning when the coffee’s too hot. I love this mug so much and keep enthusiastically gifting it (or suggesting it as a gift) to others. Can’t recommend enough.

The Ember app consistently connects to the mug and easily adjusts temperature controls!

I was gifted an Ember mug (10 oz) and I now use it every single day. I have even traveled and even taken it with me to breakfast a few times. I’ve come the crazy Ember mug lady. I want to get a 14 oz mug and possibly a proper travel mug soon.

I have several Embers now. Love them! Don’t have to microwave my coffee, tea or whatever else over and over to keep them hot.

I love my Ember Mug! It keeps my coffee at the best and right temperature always! I can enjoy my coffee at all the time, without having to go to the microwave to warm it up!! ❤️

I received this mug as a gift and although I had heard about it many times before I never had any interest in it. Boy was I wrong! I use it every night as I’m more of a hot beverage drinker at night.

Perfect for my morning cappuccino. I can do other things and don’t need to gulp. Also, I can make the cappuccino the correct temperature, which is a bit cooler than most people like, but then let the cup bring the temperature up to where I prefer without ruining the texture of the milk.

If my coffee gets cold and I take a drink it instantly upsets my stomach. With my Ember mug that is never a problem. I set the temperature to the exact number that is just right for me and the ember makes g keeps is hot enough until I finish my cup. Great product!!

The companion app for the Ember mug is easy to use and wonderfully designed!

I needed to re-pair my Ember. I brought up my Ember app, and it walked me through it, as well as using my original Ember “let’s get started” booklet.

This is the best coffee mug I have ever used.

There is nothing better than enjoying the perfect temperature for your coffee throughout the whole morning. I work in customer service so sometimes it takes me a while to drink my coffee in between calls. Doesn’t matter because my coffee is still perfect every time I go back for a sip!

I can’t recall my morning coffee without my Ember mug. I can read a chapter or two, and come back to coffee that is as hot as when I first poured it!

I’m obsessed with my Ember! My daughter’s got me my first for Mother’s Day 5 years ago! When the battery gave up the ghost after 5 years of daily use I had to have another. There is nothing like the perfectly brewed coffee consumed at the perfect temperature to the very last sip!

Temperature is always perfect!

The handle doesn’t get hot and the outside of the mug is warm while the inside is nice and hot! I have steam coming out my coffee lid even an hour after my coffee… I’m a slow sipper so this is great! It doesn’t need to be on the chargeable saucer at all times. It can be off the plate and be portable if I’m going to fold laundry, cook, etc. Wonderful purchase! 10/10 recommend!

This mug is awesome! But once I pour tea into the mug, the app will not send me a notification until I open the app first. Also, please make a widget for the app. Or maybe a live activity for the lockscreen on iOS 17

Please add Live Activities support in the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen. It’d be super nice to see this info at a glance, instead of a one-time notification while my phone is unlocked.

The app controls the mug perfectly well, it’s and intuitive app, it has all the features I need but no extraneous ones, it’s visually simple and clear, and there be been no glitches.

Received an Ember mug as a gift since I drink herb tea during the day. Keeps my drinks right at temperature. App couldn’t be simpler.

I got it as a present an for the most part it works fine. After a while trying to turn on the mug is nearly impossible and the battery life of the mug is a joke. I noticed in the app it tells me I am do an app upgrade and when I try to click on the button it does nothing. You will think I can go to the app support for help but the link that they give does not work either so here we are with the review. I know it was a present, but seeing my coworkers with cheaper brands getting better results an

The "support" links from inside the app as well as from the app store do not work. support.ember.com doesn't even resolve in DNS, looks like a misconfiguration. Somehow searching for "ember" in my iPhone does not find the ember app, so IDK what they called it, maybe needs renamed in the app Metadata to match the displayed name.

If you can get connected to your mug it seems to work. Mine will not connect anymore regardless of what I try. Remove app. Remove device. Reinstall. It will reconnect briefly and lose it again. Finally gave up out of frustration.
