This is the first version of this game I have ever played, although I had played other FF titles on older consoles. I kind of liked the first part of the game the best, but the rest kind of drags. I wasn’t able to breed every kind of chocobo for some reason. This game’s aesthetic is very 1990s: lots of darkness for the sake of darkness. The big reveal in Cloud’s story just fell flat for me. It’s like the first part of the game had a really good storyboarder who was then replaced with someone els
★★★☆☆Perfect, accept multiple A button hits.
Please fix the A-button triple tap. It’s a glitch that makes the game literally unplayable in fighting. Other than that it’s just as good as I remember!
★★☆☆☆Unplayable because of a button bug
More often than not it if you press a once it will spam A Like 5-6 times really fast. In a battle and need to use phoenix down ? Hopefully you don’t get hit with this bug cause it will phoenix down your alive character then spam whatever the next ready character is. I’ve rage quit so many times I can’t imagine what it will be like when I hit a challenging boss. I figured maybe I hadn’t updated in a while and this is fixed but no. Also I thought maybe user error ? Maybe my fat thumbs are just hol
★★★★★Great on iPad (battery etc)
One of the most beloved & written about single-player games of all time, deeply written and brilliantly constructed, this techno-dystopian makes you wonder, “is this where we are headed?”… But putting that aside - the battery performance on this port is phenomenal. Somehow the game doesn’t run out the battery even after multiple hours, makes you wonder about other games even from the same era. Probably the rendering or something, dunno. Get this if you haven’t played it yet and love the series.
★★★★★Nostalgic
Everything I ever loved growing up is in this game. Such a wonderful throwback. Wish they made FFX over the phone
