I like how it populates scenarios with appropriate monsters, along with automated modifiers, but no such features for characters. Lots of things that could be tracked and applied, but aren’t. Not as useful as I expected for the hype.
★★☆☆☆Not working
The app was working great and I thought it was a nice streamlined way to play, once bugs were taken care of. But recently it got bugged out completely and my old saved game cannot be used at all. I have to create a new party to play it. Fortunately, the campaign isn’t tracked using it
★★★☆☆Bugs almost to the point of uselessness
When playing Frosthaven scenario #8, clicking on the “Create summon” or “Add monster” buttons didn’t do anything. We couldn’t add hounds as the scenario advanced, so we ended up using the free x-haven assistant app. I prefer the visual design of this app and I look forward to the improvements and fixes that would make this app fully functional. A companion app is definitely easier than managing all the tokens and cards and counting!
★★★★★Can't add monster
The "add monster" button is unworkable. Please fix it.
★★☆☆☆Latest Update Causes Major Problems
Update 1.4 breaks character summons. Also NPCs/Objects cannot be given hit points. Also characters cannot increase their hit points above maximum to account for items like the Traveling Cloak.
Prior to 1.4 characters could not increase their maximum hit points to account for items like the Traveling Cloak, and positive and negative effects would end at the end of the round rather than at the end of the character's next turn which will almost never be at the end of the round.
