Reviews on GPS Status & Toolbox for iOS
★★★☆☆Used to have 5 stars
As an archaeologist, this was once one of the best GPS apps out there because it could display UTM coordinates. It’s far less helpful now.
★★★★★My Favorite GPS App
I had the pro version on Android for many years and now that I’ve upgraded to an iPhone, I’m happy to see that this app is available for iOS!
★★★☆☆Missing features
For a $3 app that’s free for Android, it has less features. Setting for units and satellites are hidden and not easy to find. Still can’t see how many satellites I’m bouncing location from. Additionally, there’s no option to view the data in UTM.
★★★★☆Great app, lackluster on iOS
I’ve been using this app on Android for years and love it for all of its functionality.
It’s disappointing on an iPad, missing things like AGPS, sensor readouts, strength bars, etc. Some of this may be due to how Apple locks down the hardware, but some of it seems due to the developer not having quite gotten all the work put into it they did for the Android version. Once it’s at that level, it’s 5 stars.
