UTM option???
Just bought this app and there doesn’t seem to be an option to switch to UTM. Am I missing something?!? Please help. I can find no resources online.
Difficulty
Difficult to use on apple device. When sharing location you need to subtract the space after the comma. Not only this you can’t switch the application to google maps.
Used to have 5 stars
As an archaeologist, this was once one of the best GPS apps out there because it could display UTM coordinates. It’s far less helpful now.
My Favorite GPS App
I had the pro version on Android for many years and now that I’ve upgraded to an iPhone, I’m happy to see that this app is available for iOS!
Missing features
For a $3 app that’s free for Android, it has less features. Setting for units and satellites are hidden and not easy to find. Still can’t see how many satellites I’m bouncing location from. Additionally, there’s no option to view the data in UTM.
Great app, lackluster on iOS
I’ve been using this app on Android for years and love it for all of its functionality.
It’s disappointing on an iPad, missing things like AGPS, sensor readouts, strength bars, etc. Some of this may be due to how Apple locks down the hardware, but some of it seems due to the developer not having quite gotten all the work put into it they did for the Android version. Once it’s at that level, it’s 5 stars.
6 Negative User Reviews for GPS Status & Toolbox
No satellites visible
On my iPhone 13 pro no satellites show up in the sky view
GPS Status on IOS
Unfixed bugs relating to West Longitude (-0 to -180 Longitude): waypoints are saved to wrong hemisphere (positive longitude +0 to +180). Manually editing W Longitude (negative lon.) fixes display annotations but causes other problems e.g. map URLs in wrong hemisphere. Android version does not exhibit these problems.
IOS version is handicappef
I don’t even see settings and other than the home screen the app doesn’t appear anything like the documentation that you can see on the author’s website. There should be a disclaimer on the app description.
Cannot access settings
I cannot figure out how to get to the settings to change the units. The user manual says "side menu" but I cannot find or do anything to get such a menu to appear.
Not the same
I use this app on an Android phone and its incredibly useful for marking locations on projects, then letting me export them as a KML I can view in Google Earths Pro. I can even import into a Garmin so as I drive I see Points in front of me!
Sadly, it is too dumbed down and does NONE of this on the iPhone, so I requested a refund. I'd recommend it for all our people if it actually worked!
Settings?
I can not find a means of changing the settings.
