I am deep in the hue rabbit hole. But only use this app for my management of the gear. I think I am tapping at a hundred bulbs, plugs, dimmers, and buttons. No security yet. I rely on iConnect Hue. Very powerful and stable to date. Been using for years. I bought the lifetime years ago. Now thinking of subscribing to support them.

★★☆☆☆One lasting issue…
For years now it seems like every month or two my remote access will return an error notification when I leave and return home.
This means I have to open the app, go to remote access, log into my hue account through my email account, and tap “Allow Access”.
This is really annoying. I’ve allowed it, why won’t it stick? I always have to wonder when I leave if my lights are actually going to turn off. It’s supposed to make life easy, not stressful…

No other light automation app works nearly as well as iConnectHue. It gives you all the control you want, while also being thoughtful about being easy to configure and use day to day.

Which isn’t saying much, of course. But even if the official Hue app *weren’t* miserable, I’d still love iConnectHue. All kinds of thoughtfully-implemented features, but doesn’t take long to get the hang of.
