I am deep in the hue rabbit hole. But only use this app for my management of the gear. I think I am tapping at a hundred bulbs, plugs, dimmers, and buttons. No security yet. I rely on iConnect Hue. Very powerful and stable to date. Been using for years. I bought the lifetime years ago. Now thinking of subscribing to support them. I did just find a bug, I think. Related to renaming devices. Might just be me, but I can’t figure it yet. I reached out for support. We will see what hap
No other light automation app works nearly as well as iConnectHue. It gives you all the control you want, while also being thoughtful about being easy to configure and use day to day.
Which isn’t saying much, of course. But even if the official Hue app *weren’t* miserable, I’d still love iConnectHue. All kinds of thoughtfully-implemented features, but doesn’t take long to get the hang of.
Had issues connecting but now it seems to connect just fine
Excellent app thank you for the years of updates
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan and user of the native Hue app, but iConnectHue is unparalleled. Even Signify doesn’t offer the functionality this one does. These guys are constantly updating and improving this thing, it’s really quite impressive. If you’re looking for the ultimate solution to control your Philips Hue lights, this is it.
Makes organizing and managing my hue lights easy.
Title rather says it all. Every time I had a question or found an issue, the support team has consistently addressed problems and explained potential solutions. Thanks for all that you do!
iConnectHue remains the absolute best app for the hue ecosystem hands down. Those of us that have been using this app for years know it is incredibly reliable, feature rich, and 100% supported by its creator. Worth every penny!
All the effort in the app is awesome but can we get Home Screen widgets?
I’ve never written a review of an app before but just wanna say real quick that this app is so good. It feels like the team is updating it constantly and making it better. It has so many easy to use and cool features, especially the custom animations!! Those are definitely worth it. I feel like a mini James Turrell out here! Thank you iConnectHue team!!
4 stars because the app is very good *but* is very expensive due to numerous in app purchases. Be prepared for various fees for new features and additional functionality, but the quality is good and the dev seems committed, so there’s a trade off.
Best app for Philip Hue light bulbs
Ever since the official Hue app removed the widget and forced you to use Shortcuts for light control outside the app it’s been annoying and not user friendly to use. This app has the best widget maker to remedy that to individual light or room control and dimmer switches or scenes. 10/10
I have been using this app since version 1. I find it has more features and is very easy to use. If you ever have an issue their support is fast and very helpful. If you are looking for a full featured app to control all of your Philips Hue lights, this is the One.
I find this app much more intuitive then Hue native and get what I want with less steps and configuration. Excellent stability.
Way better than Philips hue app. Only thing is iOS 16 is missing widget support, and I purchased the widget editor.
This tool is a critical part of our home setup where we have dozens of runlesswire switches and nearly every bulb is hue. iConnect gives us the flexibility to implement behaviors that seem like common sense - but are completely overlooked by the official hue apps. iConnect may be the reason we felt comfortable investing in so many bulbs in the first place and Ive enjoyed watching the app evolve with new features while maintaining the core functionality that drives our home lighting. Over the years of growing my home Hue Lighting I have tried virtually all those claiming to help you master all that Hue can do… but this app is by far “Best in Class!” …and the developer is highly responsive and continues to improve and incorporate new features and refinements. There is a richness and depth in all aspects of managing all the Hue lighting assets as well as any and all Hue compatible products. I only wish the developer would port this to the Mac as well.
What every Hue owner needs
This is pretty much all I need. Try it. You will see.
IConnectHue is the best example of what to do with an open API - it takes all the best parts of the Biebecosphere and makes them better. More flexible, more options, and makes all of the accessories (Motion detectors, switches, etc) much more versatile. Constant upgrades and new scenes make the pro package well worth it!
This app is the only app to use. It is wonderfully written and has a user interface far better than other apps I’ve tried using. It allows you to use the basic functionality of Hue switches, and will also allow you to go farther in implementing sophisticated switch behaviors. I’ve been using the app for 3 years now, and it just keeps getting better.
Best app I’ve tried that works with Phillips hue
An app that does what it says…..and does it well. Easy to setup & use. Many options to display your Phillips lighting. Excellent customer support. Real people, not bots. Highly recommended.
1 Negative User Reviews for IConnectHue for Philips Hue
For years now it seems like every month or two my remote access will return an error notification when I leave and return home. This means I have to open the app, go to remote access, log into my hue account through my email account, and tap “Allow Access”. This is really annoying. I’ve allowed it, why won’t it stick? I always have to wonder when I leave if my lights are actually going to turn off. It’s supposed to make life easy, not stressful…
