I have been using TextExpander snippets for the sites I search often but this is so much less cognitive load. w for wikipedia, boom, done! I've set up a few more on my own, and it does take a bit of sleuthing to figure out the format for the search query for some sites (is it /?s or /?search) but the starter point examples really help.
If a site has a search field, just enter something there and then inspect the URL to which you're driven to find the appropriate search string.

Pro Tip: If you have a Mac, install this Safari extension there too. Configuration of new Keyword/URL combinations is a little easier on the Mac. Since they sync via iCloud, all will be available on all of your Apple devices.
