At this point Pinterest is about 25% ads - meaning 1 ad for every 4 pins you scroll. It’s pretty insidious as most of us are there to seek out small, independent content and instead we’re inundated with Amazon and Uber and other big brands. I understand that as a free service, Pinterest has to make money to stay afloat, but like most tech companies, they have more than they need because they are all too happy to degrade the customer experience.
