★★☆☆☆Needs better search filters
Search filters are minimal and don’t filter accurately. We’re left to pour through all of the profiles, reading through descriptions hoping to find a match. This is why I stopped using Rover to find in-home sitters.
These additional filters would save pet parents hours in narrowing down the right fit:
- experience with giant breeds
- experience with working breeds
- experience with primitive breeds
- Better filters to find people who don’t work away from home and can be with pets full-time whil
★★★☆☆Lack of support
The app charges you a support fee but each “Rover” is an independent contractor that sets their own rules and the app provides no support when those rules are illogical or unreasonable. I met my Rover, agreed to house sitting dates in person and immediately confirmed the booking but I accidentally put in the wrong start date. The Rover caught it immediately but I couldn’t adjust it and I asked them to do it and they ignored me. When “support” adjusted it for me within the hour I was charged a ca
