It’s great and whatnot

★★☆☆☆ Becoming More Political

The recent article on the USA Olympic Men’s Hockey Team was a disgrace. Can’t we just enjoy the moment without some political advocate disguised as a journalist ruining it. You wonder why the Washington Post shut down its sports department and then you see this travesty and you begin to understand. It’s too bad and it’s seeping into a lot of your coverage. Sports is where a lot of us go to escape politics. Shame on you for making it more difficult.

★★☆☆☆ Local Sports Coverage Degraded

I used to love The Athletic for the abundant coverage of my favorite teams, but over the last ~ 2 years their coverage of my favorite teams has degraded to the point where there aren’t even beat writers for my teams. I don’t know if it’s cost cutting or just a move towards more of a national model instead of local, whatever the case when my subscription ends I won’t be renewing.

Must have the ability to add events/games to my calendar. Other sporting apps have this and it’s extremely useful.
