User Reviews and Ratings
★★★★★The undisputed champion of the free press
Articles are rich, deep, thoughtful and informative. Well researched with multiple layers of context and nuance. There is simply no rival -the competitors are not even close- My advice: subscribe to the NYT. I intend to continue supporting the world class journalists of the New York Times.
★★☆☆☆Flashing adds
Extremely annoying adds in the middle of the article. As they are in video format, they flash even when I try to hide them which I find very distracting. And while the subscription rate keeps increasing…
★★☆☆☆Search function sucks, section headings are meaningless,
The app’s search function must be a well known issue because it’s nearly impossible to locate an article using keywords and the results returned are usually months old. This is especially bad with the Athletic, which is poorly integrated with the overall app.
★★★★★Long Live Real Journalism
In these troubling times knowing the truth of what’s happening is vital. I still trust NYT to deliver real news. And when reality bites too hard, I. It myself in Cooking and Wordle
★★★★★Great coverage, poor copy editing
Your coverage of national and international news remains absolutely stellar. However, the increasing number of copy-editing errors is disturbing. I’ve written about two of these in the last week, notably today, a weather map of miss labels, New Jersey as New York. I have not received a credible response to either of my queries. I’m an experienced editor and I also note much more frequent grammatical and basic editing errors. Perhaps AI is not doing the job that we would like it to do.
