Ventusky: Weather Maps & Radar

Long time subscriber to Pro Version. Best alternative for my realtime access to blended model data. Now that EM gutted NOAA/NWS staff by 30 to 40%. Local/tribal knowledge of terrain and history of weather patterns leading to possible danger? Only a memory now, not many boots left in the field these days.

Ventusky keeps evolving for the better. From choice of forecast models to interface, this has become my go-to app. I’m a CCM and, while retired, Ventusky is what I use for myself and family. Improvements? Please add precipitable water; then we’ll have all the information we need for intelligent forecasting.

After 2+ years, I am a satisfied customer. I live on the Texas Gulf Coast, so hurricanes are a big concern. I watch the African equatorial coastline and track the initial low pressure areas all the way west across the Atlantic and from the point that the disturbance becomes a tropical storm, the forecast zone is usually quite accurate and very accurate within 3-4 days of landfall. There are so many options to choose from. I love the satellite view and the air quality and precipitation map. Highly recommend this app!
