★★★★★Audio only saves data!
This is a very useful app for saving data when streaming YouTube as audio only, which is great for long story/podcast format videos. Rather than using up 200MB+ of dat per video, using audio only uses up about 25MB only.
Currently switching between audio and video is buggy, where the video doesn't always come back and safari needs to be restarted. At other times switching to audio makes the video options disappear. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. Otherwise a wonderful app!

Seems totally fine other than the volume resets, I perhaps when automatically switching quality. So if I crank down the volume on something it will, without intaction, suddenly go back to regular volume. Look forward to a fix!
★★★★★issues with 4k on macOS
Unfortunately, the "best" setting sometimes picks 1080p even when 4k is available. Manually picking 4k only works for a few minutes, then it goes back down to a lower resolution and the menu won't open anymore.
Still a better experience than whatever abomination of a video player YouTube managed to build.

Does everyhing it says it will do except it blasts the volume even if you mute it. There's been no fix for this and no updates for months. So instead i'll switch to the browser Brave.. built in ad blocker and doesn't have the audio spiking issue.

I love this app. I have it on my Macbook, my iPhone, and my iPad. Finally (!) I can watch YouTube videos in peace without having to suffer through ads or rush to mute them every time they appear. And they appear a lot.
