WMTV15 First Alert Weather

Generally it’s a good app. The radar isn’t updated fast enough though. By the time the radar shows it, most of the time the weather has already been here for a good 5 minutes. Also why isn’t the dew point included in the current conditions? Finally, do we really have to go through the ad screen EVERY time I open the app?

I have relied on WMTV for their care, consistently accurate and timely services. My parents watched WMTV and now my grown children watch WMTV, a family tradition because you’re the best! Thank you!!

This app has a lot to recommend it. It gives severe weather warnings ahead of the Apple weather app by a lot. But it also gives false information enough to be annoying—for example I just got a notification of “heavy rain near your location” and it’s sunny. I also frequently get alerts for places I no longer am, such as when I return from vacation. And because it doesn’t seem to know where I am, I need to check severe weather alerts against reality if they seem wrong.

The weather reporting is accurate but sometimes not timely. There’s way too much advertising tho. They have room to level up.

Would have rated higher if the app was not littered with ads.
