WMTV15 First Alert Weather App Reviews

Generally it’s a good app. The radar isn’t updated fast enough though. By the time the radar shows it, most of the time the weather has already been here for a good 5 minutes. Also why isn’t the dew point included in the current conditions? Finally, do we really have to go through the ad screen EVERY time I open the app?

I have relied on WMTV for their care, consistently accurate and timely services. My parents watched WMTV and now my grown children watch WMTV, a family tradition because you’re the best! Thank you!!

This app has a lot to recommend it. It gives severe weather warnings ahead of the Apple weather app by a lot. But it also gives false information enough to be annoying—for example I just got a notification of “heavy rain near your location” and it’s sunny. I also frequently get alerts for places I no longer am, such as when I return from vacation. And because it doesn’t seem to know where I am, I need to check severe weather alerts against reality if they seem wrong.

The weather reporting is accurate but sometimes not timely. There’s way too much advertising tho. They have room to level up.

Would have rated higher if the app was not littered with ads.

I miss seeing what the Dee point is at. With asthma it was helpful to know what the dew point is at more than the humidity for activities. The dew point is not found anywhere these days on your page.

I was using another local station's weather app for the longest time, but I dumped them when they started advertising products on it that align with discord and hate. Channel 15's app is better--the video segments are a plus, and it just seems friendlier. I'll stick with it as long as it doesn't become another cheap avenue for sowing discontent.

The two features I appreciate most are (1) the radar that goes into the future - and (2) the weather alerts with a human voice that tells you what the alert is for like “lightning in your area” instead of a generic beep. Well done!

I love this app it keeps me prepared for all the storms and rain. Is the best!!

Very pleasantly surprised how useful and detailed and easy this app is!

I like everything about this app except that it also alerts you to a stretch of good weather. I only need alerts of bad weather. The bad weather alerts are very helpful.

Since I updated my ipad to the newest version of ios 17 Your weather app doesn't work at all. I can't open it and no longer recieve notifications at all. It's bricked! I removed it and red download your weather app and nothing. Won't open! Please Fix!

Tries too hard to be flashy while failing to be easy to navigate. As a result, information is hard to find and the app is barely useful.

iPhone 13 mini. Whenever there is an alert banner and a video is viewed in landscape mode the app freezes with the lower menu stuck in landscape in the center of the portrait mode. Cannot scroll. Only first two menu items are available. Have to restart phone to recover.
