Functionality

Like the news part of it. But for UX/UI It’s very annoying that when you tap the home button the news feed doesn’t scroll back up to the top.

Navigation not as easy in this latest version

Regarding the latest version what happened to swipe left - previous article or home page - and right - next article - to navigate smoothly ? Now you have to scroll back up to see and actually click on the "back" arrow. For the rest the app is still as useful (I don't actually see the difference with the previous version)

Why fix something that wasn’t broken?

The new app is awful. I can’t choose topics relevant to me anymore. I somehow have a Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales section, but no England section (where I’m from). It’s awful to navigate and I don’t understand why they went from a great app to a terrible app… I only gave 2 stars because it decent journalism when I can find things, otherwise it would be 1.

latest version is poorer

I have been forced to download the latest version which does not allow me to select the topics on my feed as before, and seems to have fewer news in general. Reporting is poorer every year, with many pieces where journalists write on what is happening in tweeter or other networks rather than doing actual reporting on the ground. It has always been one the best sources of information and we are letting it die little by little. We will suffocate with it. best wishes, C.

Why get rid of most read?

The only reason I used this app was for the succinct “most read” section. Now that is gone and we have some dodgy web view of their main website. I’ll never understand how this got through UX testing.

Bring back the sound

The red theme has dissapeared, but most importantly, the notification sound was the BBC News tune, now it’s another random, pointless noise in the every day notification world. An app that now has nothing special.
