It measures the exposure needed for the whole frame of your phone (cant zoom or meter a single point) and in my case it underexposes 1 f stop. Compared to a camera it is consistent whith matrix metering -1f. That is on my iphone 7. Knowing than it is pretty useful, and you can get closer to meter a part of the scene.

Very useful, it can allow you shooting confidently with classic cammeras without an exposure metter. However, it is not very acurate, in my case gives +1f exposure. It could be very much improved by adding the possibility of callibration with a modern camera or a metter
