The ad blocker I rely on for iOS and OS X. Made by an indie developer who is responsive to suggestions, it blocks intrusive ads, privacy-invading trackers, and malware and phishing sites. Frequently updated and if you make custom rules on your phone or computer they sync to your other Apple devices.

I’ve used this app since the beginning, and I like the way it syncs between phone and Mac. The VPN feature was moved under Privacy. Solid and reliable.

I’ve been using 1Blocker Prem for a while now, and it has been great. It’s convenient and never obstructs my work. Highly recommend! I love that I can load on an unlimited number of devices, share with family, toggle off if I need to, and that it has plenty of explanatory information JIC. Friendly help team.

does what it says on the tin, though i notice more and more sponsored results appearing on Amazon which is suboptimal. seems to work very well elseweb, and the blatant ads are blocked there. one feature request is for a light mode. my old, astigmatic eyes can’t handle dark mode. it causes eyestrain and can lead to migraines. all that aside, keep up the good work!

I use the firewall but no way to whitelist URLs I do not want blocked

Time will tell how good this app is, but so far I’m extremely pleased with it. Some sites I regularly visit have over time, gotten worse and WORSE with popups and automatic redirects to the point that they’re completely unusable. This has thus far eliminated all of it! You have to get the premium subscription! The free base level version will not work, at least for me it didn’t block anything I was encountering.

It works so well that I forget how absolutely obnoxious some websites are these days. However it’s blocking reviews of items when shopping for things like clothes, which is frustrating. I can’t figure out which setting needs to be turned off to fix the problem.

This is one of the most valuable apps on my phone!

Very easy and trouble free install on Ventura. Works very well on sites that usewd to have lots of annoying ad. Not anymore. Highly recommended.

Amazing app !! it does not block all the adds but it blocks most of the you only see one or 2 sometimes, much better than using safari without it 🫶🏼

This works great for most other websites but doesn’t work at all when it comes to YouTube

No answers to questions. Why is Firewall now not working with a VPN on IKEv2 server? You said they would be compatible. But now it’s either VPN or your Firewall? Are you going to answer this?

I paid for the annual Premium subscription and after about the months the app determined on its own one day that I didn’t have it which locked me out of the important features. I was angry! So I sent a nasty message to 1Blocker tech support. It took them a few days to respond but then they fixed the issue on their server and I had my premium subscription restored. Happy now.

I'm seeing huge memory use when 1blocker is enabled, and the problem goes away when it is uninstalled. New 8gb M2 Mac Air. Is this a known issue with a fix coming?

What can I say other than it works and it’s the best ad blocking solution I’ve found on both mobile AND desktop!

I’ve tried many ad blocking apps but this is by far the best and most comprehensive app I’ve used and try the paid version

This is one of the best adblockers for safari if not the best it works get it!

Just installed it and seems to block YouTube ads which is a priority. Only downside is their is no lifetime payment. Monthly payments just don’t sit well with me. Also a lot of feature are blocked in the free version.

I’ve only just recently started using it (2 week trial) and I plan on eventually buying the lifetime for my iPhone it’s been nothing but amazing so far. Be so cool if there was a extension for the Firefox web browser on Windows.

It blocks every ad and sites load so much faster

It worked for the most part. Made browser faster. However it broke some web forms on legit sites. I don’t know which of the feature sliders to use to fix the problem. So I uninstalled. Customer service responded with some tips which did help me fix web forms. Giving them full stars back.

2/9/2023 Updated review: Clearly, many issues have been corrected (not by me, I’m doing nothing different) and 1Blocker is now blocking the appropriate tracking cookies. So I’ve improved my rating to 4 stars. Only 4 and not 5 stars because it still lacks a user-friendly and effective allow list function for email. Old review: It was 3-star worthy prior to the OS update. Only 3 stars because the lack of an effective and user-friendly white list/allow list for email content makes email management

Love the app, but could you allow manual entry of regular expressions when entering urls? I would love to setup a more complex matching pattern (like match based on keyword in url + path).

Turning off the VPN should be a lot easier when I need it off I need it off. I don’t need to search for the setting and go to multiple places to do so effectively.

Love this app, longtime user. I desperately want to make use of the hide element feature, which could help solve a lot of issues that the standard engine simply can't handle. The problem is that when using this feature in the dedicated web view mode , there's no way to toggle the existing rules on . Without this I can't reproduce the output I am seeing in Safari; making this feature mostly useless .

Too many ads popping up in ios apps. Wish it would work better. Switched to NordVPN.

I love the idea of having color

There are plenty of blockers available, but some are too strong (blocking things you want to see) and some don't work with iCloud Private Relay. 1Blocker is right in the middle. Maybe the others will catch up someday, but for now, 1Blocker is what shields us from ads and other annoyances.

This is a great ad blocker that I use on both my Macbook as well as my iPhone and iPad. Works very well.

Absolutely a great privacy keeper and as blocker. It’s more than an ad blocker. They save you gigs of data by blocking it before your device processes it. Only app you can “set and forget” They honor the family share so more stars there. Great app

Been using 1Blocker for a few years and lately it's been even letting app ads through. I have to reset configuration at least 1/mo to patch it, and sometimes even that doesn't work.

Worked fine for a little while and now just does not do anything. I keep closing it and reopening it and safari and repeatedly turn the add blocker on or off and waiting for a couple minutes because maybe it takes time to go into effect. It just doesn’t work.
